Michele Miller Settel – President


Michele Miller joined Ascential Care Partners as President in April, 2019. Ascential Care Partners, a URAC accredited company offers case management and utilization review services to the workers’ compensation industry. Michele has over 28 years’ experience developing case management programs and a wide range of cost containment programs including ancillary network, pharmacy benefits and laboratory services. Prior to joining Ascential Care Partners, Michele was the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Workers’ Compensation at Cordant Health Solutions. In response to the growing nationwide opioid epidemic, Michele developed an Opioid Medication Monitoring program and sales/marketing plan specific to the workers’ compensation payer. The program was designed to increase treatment compliance and safety for injured workers and is widely utilized by Payers and Employers. Michele also served as Executive Vice President of Business Development at TechHealth. TechHealth was a large, national ancillary network offering a one-stop solution to payers coordinating all of their claimants’ ancillary service needs and was acquired by One Call Care Management in July, 2013. During her tenure, Michele was responsible for designing new program offerings and implementing a suite of services specific to the clients’ protocols. Michele was also responsible for all aspects of sales support activities including RFP response and presentation, contracting and renewal, account oversight and growth initiatives. Additional responsibilities included the implementation of formal quality assurance and training processes at both an operational and corporate level. Prior to joining TechHealth, Michele was a senior executive with Coventry Workers’ Compensation Services and its predecessor companies where she had responsibility for developing enhanced case management and utilization review offerings in conjunction with new account implementation and growth initiatives. Michele currently serves on the Board of Directors for First Touch Mission. First Touch Mission offers housing and disciplined support resources to women leaving prison to improve their transition and reduce chances of recidivism. Michele earned a Bachelors’ Degree of Science in Business Administration, graduating cum laude, from Missouri Baptist University.

Bonnie Dayhaw – Vice President of Clinical Services


Bonnie Dayhaw has over 25 years experience in the healthcare industry and over the last 20 years, has focused on Workers’ Compensation case management and utilization review. She recently served as COO for an ancillary services company within the workers compensation industry. For 8 years prior to that she managed a large national Utilization Review and telephonic case management division for Coventry Workers’ Comp Services. Bonnie served in the military and held various high-level security clearances and managed large overseas intelligence offices for over 10 years. In her off time she is trained as a guardian ad litem, advocating in court for children in the foster system. Bonnie is a Registered Nurse and a Certified Case Manager and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management.

VP of Operations

Courtney W. Bryant LMSW, CDMS, CCM is Vice President of Operations with Ascential Care Partners. Courtney has worked in managed care for over twelve years and has been with Ascential Care Partners for the past four years in multiple roles including; Case Management Supervisor, Recruitment Manager, and Field Case Manager. Courtney started her professional career path in non-profit management with special interest focused on homeless and community health and housing. She has clinical experience working with vulnerable populations and her passion is new program implementation. She received her Masters in Social Work from Jane Addams College of Social Work in Chicago, IL. She naturally gravitated to medical management while working in Nashville with a large self-insured customer that offered her the opportunity to be a part of a team to implement a "housing first" case management program for the chronically homeless. This program initially started as a ten-year plan to reduce the number of chronically homeless individuals who had complex medical needs and today continues with national focus and recognition. Courtney pursued her Certified Case Management certification to focus on strictly managed care case management. She worked for 8 years in Workers Compensation Medical Management across the State of Tennessee, before moving into Supervision. Courtney worked with some of Ascential Care Partners first National Customers and moved into a focus of recruitment and staff training. "I love working for Ascential Care Partners, they are different than many managed care organizations in their basic core principals. They focus on the patient, advocacy, and utilizing technology to enhance the ability for service delivery. ACP's philosophy is what excites me! One core principal is to be Tenacious and Fierce, I love applying this mindset to our practice model."
